You're Not Alone

It is VERY early in the morning where I am and my home is so quiet. The only sounds right now are those of my radio playing praise music and my bulldog snoring. I love mornings like this. In the stillness of my home, it gives me a reminder that I am not alone.
My life is not easy; yet, it is peaceful and I am confident in all things that I do not live this life alone. Joshua 1:5 tells me, "No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you." This promise is again repeated in Hebrews 13:5. We may wander from the presence of our Lord; but, He will never leave our hearts. He is always pursuing us desiring a relationship.
He wants to make our lives peaceful, full of love, and stress free. He wants us to know that He hears our prayers and is responsive to our pain. He wants to turn all things around for our good.
2 Samuel 2:7 "In my distress I called to the LORD; I called out to my God. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came to his ears."
Psalm 40: 1-3 "I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit,out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord."

My God, thank you that I always feel your presence and hear Your still, small voice. Help me to understand that my sin is the only thing that keeps me from drawing closer to you. Forgive my sins and cast them from Your presence as far as the east is to the west.
